Latta Elementary Principal's Blog
Hello everyone!  Thank you for joining my Principal's Blog.  Blogging is new for me, so I am a little nervous about this whole undertaking.  My mission is to keep you informed of all of the great things that are happening at Latta Elementary.  I hope that you will visit often, leave your comments and enjoy our journey through the 2011-12 school year.                                                                      ~ Mrs. Morris

Red Ribbon Week
CLOSE THE DOOR ON DRUGS!!! Everyone at LES joined together during Red Ribbon Week to celebrate being drug free.  All week our Vik-Kids have been learning about the dangers of drugs.  The entire faculty decorated their doors, and even the ceiling, using a variety of Drug Free themes.  Enjoy a few pictures which show how we "closed the door on drugs"!

House Captains
It's that time of year when our fifth graders run a heated campaign for Captain of their House.  Students who are nominated give campaign speeches on our WVIK-Kid Morning TV Program and display  campaign posters throughout the school.  Fourth and fifth graders will cast their ballots Monday for the student who they feel will best represent their House.
